The complete original soundtrack to the 1952 classic feature "Ivanhoe", directed by Richard Thorpe and produced by Pandro S. Berman. It was based on Sir Walter Scott√ïs historical novel by the same title. The cast features Robert Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, and George Sanders.
The film was nominated for three Academy Awards: Pandro S. Berman for Best Picture, Freddie Young for Best Cinematography in Color, and Mikl‚Äîs R‚Äîzsa for Best Music (Scoring). In addition, Richard Thorpe was nominated by the Directors Guild of America, USA, for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures. There were also two Golden Globe Award nominations: Best Film Promoting International Understanding and Best Motion Picture Score, for Mikl‚Äîs R‚Äîzsa
