JOHN CARPENTER’S BEST FILMS ARE ALWAYS DISTINGUISHED BY HIS USE OF MUSIC. The cult director composes and performs much of the music himself, crafting ominous themes that add tension and depth to the onscreen action. Carpenter initially turned to composing on synthesizers himself due to budgetary constraints, but it would be come a major part of his aesthetic over the years. He’s now recognized as a pioneering figure in film score work and electronic music, as well.
This picture disc features the instantly recognizable themes from the first Halloween movie and Escape From New York. Released by Sacred Bones Records on limited edition picture disc.
