Exclusive film artwork Stanley Kubrick’s singular war saga packs a more visceral punch in 4K. Matthew Modine, Vincent D’Onofrio and R.Lee Ermey- as a drill instructor from hell- shine in this gripping chronicle of U.S. Marine recruits during the Vietnam War. Shifting from the raw brutality of basic training to the dehumanising effects of combat, Full Metal Jacket deftly combines nonstop action with scathing dark humour. This new 4K release of Full Metal Jacket doesn’t offer up any fresh bonus features but instead comes with the same extras on the previous release, which is only located on the Blu-ray version.Audio Commentary With Adam Baldwin, Vincent D’Onofrio, R. Lee Ermey, and Jay Cocks – It’s great to have a commentary with three actors from the film and the author and screenwriter, but they were all recorded separately and the track never really gets off its feet. All four people seem to have had a different experience on the set of the film and working with Kubrick, but after the boot camp sequence, two of the four people are no longer heard. Not the best commentary track, but decent.
